Kings of Middle–Earth, the new expansion for War of the Ring Second Edition, introduces Sovereigns and Dark Chieftains. These two new types of Characters represent important personalities of Middle-earth with a vital role in the War of the Ring.

In this game, players participate on 2 teams, the Free Peoples (Frodo and Aragorn) and the Shadow (Saruman and the WitchKing). Each player gets a unique deck representing the characteristics of their faction; taking the faction cards that correspond to each player's chosen character.

War of the Ring - Battles of the Third Age is the expansion to the First Edition of War of the Ring and is really two expansions in one. First it introduces Factions and Siege Engines as well as new Characters and Event cards to your base First Edition War of the Ring game.

There are 120 cards for the 4 decks (30 cards each, 63 x 88 mm size), 27 Path cards (80 x 120 mm size) and 14 Battleground cards (80 x 120 mm size).
